Madmaheshwar Yatra is a pilgrimage to the sacred Madhyamaheshwar Temple, one of the five temples in the Panch Kedar circuit dedicated to Lord Shiva. Its a quaint little holy town named after the sacred Madhyamaheshwar Temple which is the second Kedar in the panch kedar pilgrimage circuit. Situated at an altitude of 3265 meters, it’s a part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary and the temple is open during summers and remains closed in winder months from November till April due to heavy snowfall, the opening and closing dates are decided by pujaris. The trek to Madmaheshwar is graded as a moderate trek as one has to trek 16 Kms from village Ranshi on a well laid trail and passing by small villages of Gaundhar, Bantoli and Nano. Village Ranshi, which is the base to trek to Madmaheshwar. This trek is a lifelong memorable with beautiful green valley providing views of with many glittering glaciers and snow capped peaks of Chaukhamba, Neel Kanth and Kedarnath in Higher Himalayan ranges. The entire region seems to be blessed with rich flora and fauna and boasts of being the home to abundance of wildlife and some endangered species like the Himalayan Musk Dear and Himalayan Monal Pheasant.

Day 3 – Bantoli to Madhmaheshwar (10 km trek)
Day 4 – Madmaheshwar – Buda Madmaheshwar – Gaundhar (12 km trek)
Day 5 – Gondhar – Village Ranshi – Haridwar (04 Kms trek, 230 Kms drive)

In the event of cancellation of booking due to any avoidable /unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

WEATHER CONDITION
Uttarakhand being a hill state where weather is uncertain and with Dhams located at a very high altitude, its recommended to carry light to heavy woollens. Anyone traveling to altitudes above 10000 Ft. is liable to suffer from Acute Mountain Sickness ( AMS ), unless properly acclimatized. In this tour, you are touching high altitude terrain. The most common symptoms of AMS are headache, disturbed sleep, loss of appetite, nausea, coughing, irregular breathing, breathlessness and lack of concentration. You are advised to allow time for acclimatization before engaging in any physical activity, once you reach high altitude terrains. Smoking & Drinking should also be avoided
